For 20 years, Silver Dollar City Foundation’s Care for Kids program has equipped 14 area school districts with the funds they need so when educators see a need, they can meet a need.
Over the years, this program has met thousands of needs and changed countless lives along the way, but we were always wondering, “Could we be doing more?”
This spring, Silver Dollar City Foundation partnered with Care to Learn, a public charity based in Springfield.
This partnership, dubbed Together for Kids, opens opportunities for the districts they have never had before, increasing dollars and giving educators access to state funds to meet more needs.

The 14 area school districts we serve are diverse and so are their needs. That’s why our Hope Grants are so impactful - these grants empower districts to take on the specific challenges their districts face.
Hope Grants are focused on future, long-term impacts on families and children in our community and can be a great catalyst for a bigger project. The amount of funding available for Hope Grants is based on what the foundation has available to award, which means award amounts may vary year to year, and future funding is not always guaranteed.
Young families in Stone and Taney counties are often spending 15% or more of their household income on childcare and those are the families fortunate enough to find childcare. We are funding this in partnership with Neighbor, a Herschend Family Giving Collective, and First Presbyterian Church Branson. The work is led by Taney County Partnership in collaboration with Stone County Economic Development.
