For 20 years, Silver Dollar City Foundation has equipped area school districts to meet the immediate needs of students, whether that’s a coat, a meal, eyeglasses, or help with a utility bill. Over those years, we’ve met thousands of needs and we know because of this work, lives have been changed. But, there’s still more that can be done.
That is why Silver Dollar City Foundation has teamed up with Care to Learn to make an even greater impact in the lives of the 12,000 students across Stone and Taney counties. This partnership is not about taking anything away, but adding to the resources educators can access to help children.
The partnership, Together for Kids, amplifies the impact and further removes barriers to education, creating a brighter future for thousands of kids in need.
“When we work together, we can do so much more for both kids and communities,” says Care to Learn CEO Crystal Simon. “At the end of the day, everyone wins.”
This partnership impacts the 14 school districts that serve Stone and Taney County children: Blue Eye, Bradleyville, Branson, Crane, Forsyth, Galena, Hurley, Hollister, Kirbyville, Mark Twain, Reeds Spring, Shell Knob, Spokane and Taneyville.
“So many families will benefit as a result of us coming together, and that’s what we want,” says Silver Dollar City Foundation Executive Director Mindy Honey. “We want to provide more hope.”
