Thank you for the outreach opportunities You put before us in OMC to expand Your Kingdom. Thank you for the band of brothers and sisters in Your name. Give those servants, You send, Your heart and eyes. Provide strength and the words necessary to reach the lost. Father, I pray for those who are struggling with addictions ( drugs, alcohol, sex, homosexuality and violence). Please send the right people in their path to lead them to You, so they may come to know the Giver of Life, peace, respite and unconditional love. For You know their struggles and pain. You are the only Holy One who can heal them and set them free from addiction. I pray for the loved ones impacted by addiction. I am thankful their cries don’t land on deaf ears Lord, that You hear each cry and see each tear. Lord, I pray for You to stifle the prince of darkness’ reign in these children’s and adults’ lives, releasing them from the bondage of their pain, suffering and sin so they can know YOU for who You are.

Lord, give me humility to put your needs and wants first and strength and endurance to run the race you have set before me. As a new public school year begins, may your peace shelter and protect tender hearts and souls during this time of transition. May students see teachers and school staff as adults who truly care for them and their families. Protect the hearts of our committed teachers, as they meet and assess each new student and situation. Purge our area schools from those adults who aren't in love with their jobs and the children under their care. Help release them from their present positions, so they might find service to your kingdom elsewhere. "To everything there is a season..." Let them know they are not trapped. If they will turn to your for guidance, you will give them answers.

We have such a grand responsibility, being trusted with the hearts and minds of the students who will be entering our schools. Make us compassionate, encouraging, truth tellers, and willing to see beyond the surface. Please keep us from pride, self-centeredness and negativity. You have ordained our days.
