Father, my prayer request today is for my students. With so many things happening that are beyond their control it is easy to see that they would become overwhelmed with worry, stress, fear, and uncertainty. Families are fragmented, incidents of violence continue to be in the news, peer problems, abuse from so many angles, and children are always it seems in the eye of the storm. My prayer today is for their security, comfort, and peace in very difficult times. I ask that you would watch over them and their families. I ask that you help each of us, who have a chance and the resources, to make a positive impact for theses young people whenever we can. Amen
Please join me in prayer for the family of a man whose life ended tragically this week in a storm related accident, kids who are suddenly fatherless and a wife who faces the prospect of caring for her family on her own as she tries to cope with her own grief and loss. Seek God's grace and comfort for this family and pray that the body of Christ will surround them with love and provision.
Lord, I thank you for your mercy and grace. Please watch over our students as they work everyday to become better people. Bless them and guide them as they make tough decisions. Give the teachers and staff the wisdom to help them and ability to continue building strong relationships with them. In your sons, Holy Name, Amen
Dearest Heavenly Father, Divine Architect and Builder of the Universe protect "J's" spirit during the stressful time of having a small baby in the home. While his mother is distracted may he hear You calling his name and be drawn to You. I pray wellbeing and strength for someone in "J's" circle of friends to invite him into Your presence. May "J's" mother feel the Holy Spirit come upon her filling her with peace and strength; freeing her from stress. "J" is hungry. He has become an invisible child. May I be adequate to the task you have set before me to encourage and mentor this little boy. May my hands be Your hands, my words Your words....
Father, I ask that you be with our children, that they may come to know you if they don't already. Help them to be strong and feel your presence daily. Meet the needs that they may have. Please be with the adults in their life. Allow them to be your light and for you to work through them. Thank you for you allowing me to work with your children.
Father we thank you for the opportunity to ask you in Jesus name to watch over the children and young adults in our communities. We thank you for allowing them the opportunity to have an individual encounter with you through Jesus, by the love of the Holy Spirit.
We thank you that they will have such a strong encounter with you, that it can never be forgotten. That the reality of your goodness can never be shaken. Thank you Lord for your mighty hand of protection and your great "Grace" upon each and every one of them.
Teach them to Love you the way you desire of them and to learn to love each other with your help.
So that you'll be glorified and magnified in every circumstance to do in their lives. Help them to know you as their best friend, now and throughout all eternity. Thank you Father in Jesus name.
Holy Spirit, Jesus indicated that you are like the wind.... you blow where you choose. Today, I pray for you to “blow” through OMC, especially through Entertainment venues. As people in the audiences in 2018, hear the Christian songs, especially those sung by Christian entertainers, may Jesus be honored and may families be healed.
I pray also for the families and children of the entertainers, backstage personnel, front office, gift shop, custodial and maintenance people. May these winter months include lots of family time and healing moments. When Spring arrives and the hectic pace begins, please be with them and let the winter “together times” be enough to sustain them.
The temperature is frigid and reminds me how vital the sun is to my Life, and how vital the Son of God is to my life as well. He came to earth to die so I could have Life in Him.
Today, I’m praying for those Social & Civic Servants, firemen, police, health, welfare, etc, and their families. They will risk their lives today, to help someone continue living.
I also pray for those they will be served / saved today. For many of them, today’s crisis will alter the course of their lives. The loss of things, loss of capacity, loss of hope, etc will seem overwhelming. I ask you to help them see that even in days of crisis and recovery, YOU CAN HELP.
Thank you for Jesus, and His healing authority throughout creation. Thank you for the skills, gifts and talents you have given to people with hearts and hands that want to be used by YOU to heal others. I pray for those healers, their spouses and their children who give so much, so that others might have a better life.
I also pray for every child and every parent who struggles with chronic and terminal illness. Please give them health and wholeness in their bodies.
As we approach the January 1-7 week of focused, United Prayer for Families & Children in OMC, I pray for Christians to be awakened to your heart and power.
May Christ be seen in us, and may we be His heart, His Hands, His feet praying for those who serve selflessly and sacrificially... and may those being served receive the help as though it was Christ Himself helping them.
